President Hichilema Advocates Bilateral Collaboration at Zambia-Italian Business Forum
President Hakainde Hichilema delivered a compelling keynote address on 21st November, 2023, at the Zambia-Italian Business Forum in Rome.
The event saw the participation of 34 Zambian companies, coordinated by the Zambia Chamber of Commerce and supported by the Zambia Development Agency, engaging in discussions on the vast business potential shared between Zambia and Italy.
President Hichilema took the opportunity to encourage Italian companies to explore diverse opportunities in Zambia, particularly in sectors such as agriculture, energy, mining, infrastructure, health, and tourism, emphasizing the abundance of prospects in the country.
Highlighting the interconnectedness of the global community, President Hichilema urged businesses to collaborate as a united front, transcending bureaucratic boundaries and working collectively towards shared goals.
Recognizing Italy’s advanced technology and capital resources and Zambia’s wealth in critical minerals, President Hichilema underscored the pivotal importance of fostering mutual partnerships.
He stressed the potential benefits of such collaborations, which could bring cutting-edge technology, innovative solutions, and accessible capital to both nations.
Anticipating tangible outcomes from the forum, President Hichilema expressed optimism about the prospect of fruitful transactions and urged businesses facing challenges in setting up operations in Zambia to bring forth their concerns for swift resolution.
