FQM Backs IZIC 2025 with K1M Boost
First Quantum Minerals Ltd. (FQM) has bolstered Zambia’s investment drive with a generous K1 million sponsorship to the forthcoming Invest Zambia International Conference (IZIC) 2025, scheduled for July 16–18 at the Mulungushi International Conference Centre in Lusaka.
During the official handover held at FQM’s Head Office in Lusaka, Country Director Mr. Anthony Mukutuma emphasized the mining giant’s pride in supporting the landmark event.
“IZIC is a strategic platform to spotlight Zambia’s rich investment potential. FQM remains committed to working hand-in-hand with the Zambia Development Agency (ZDA) and the government to advance inclusive economic growth,” he said.
Receiving the sponsorship, ZDA Director General Mr. Albert Halwampa lauded FQM for its continued contribution to Zambia’s development beyond mining.
“Through the Enterprise and Trident projects, FQM has significantly impacted Zambia’s economy, including supporting President Hichilema’s copper production vision and driving local industrialisation through the Kalumbila Multi-Facility Economic Zone,” Halwampa noted.
IZIC 2025, themed Driving Generational Transformative Investments through Joint Ventures and Partnerships, is expected to attract over 1,000 delegates, both local and international. The conference aims to position Zambia as a premier destination for sustainable and transformative investment across Africa.
