ZAMPOST Retirees to Receive K30 Million as Gov’t Fulfills Payment Pledge

The Zambia Postal Services Corporation (ZAMPOST) has announced the release of K30 million by the Government of the Republic of Zambia to support the ongoing payment of retiree dues.

This financial injection marks the second phase of disbursements aimed at clearing longstanding obligations to former ZAMPOST employees.

In a press statement issued by ZAMPOST Public Relations Manager, Mthandazo Masango, the Corporation described the move as a vital step in honoring the nation’s commitment to those who served in public service.

The Corporation commended President Hakainde Hichilema’s administration for demonstrating consistent support and care for retired workers, aligning with a pledge made by Minister of Technology and Science, Hon. Felix Mutati, in Parliament.

“This timely support reinforces the government’s dedication to preserving the dignity of retirees,” said the statement. “We are especially grateful to the retirees for their patience, service, and continued trust as we work towards full settlement of all outstanding payments.”

ZAMPOST reiterated its commitment to transparency and assured stakeholders that additional updates will be provided as the payment process continues—ensuring no retiree is left behind
