Zambian President Pledges Support for Kapasa Makasa University Students

President Hakainde Hichilema of Zambia delivered a powerful message of encouragement and support to students in a recent visit to Kapasa Makasa University in Chinsali, emphasizing the importance of hard work and equitable access to education.

Addressing the students, President Hichilema underscored the pivotal role of education as a tool for empowerment and equalization in society. 

He stressed the need for relentless effort in overcoming challenges, emphasizing that hard work is the only path forward.

During the visit, students raised concerns about the lack of social amenities to support their educational journey. In response, President Hichilema, accompanied by his wife and First Lady Mutinta Hichilema, made a significant pledge to address these needs.

The Hichilema family announced their commitment to providing a bus, ambulance, and industrial borehole for the university, aimed at enhancing student welfare and facilitating their academic pursuits. 

Furthermore, President Hichilema directed relevant government departments to offer additional services to the institution and encouraged the utilization of Constituency Development Funds (CDF) to tackle existing challenges.

President Hichilema’s proactive approach to supporting higher education and student welfare reflects his administration’s dedication to fostering a conducive learning environment for all Zambians. By prioritizing investment in education and infrastructure, the government aims to empower youth and drive national development.
