Fashion Sakala Cup Final and Community Donation Dates Confirmed
The much-anticipated Fashion Sakala Provincial Cup Final and community donation activities have officially been rescheduled, with new dates confirmed following the recent period of national mourning.
In a public statement, football star and philanthropist Fashion Sakala announced that the final match will now take place on Sunday, June 29, 2025, in Chipata City, Eastern Province. The final will feature both men’s and women’s leagues, promising an exciting celebration of talent, sportsmanship, and unity.
In addition to the football festivities, the community donation initiative—originally postponed—will commence on Tuesday, July 1, 2025, in Kawele Village. The program will involve the distribution of wheelchairs and blankets to vulnerable groups, including elderly citizens aged 60 and above and individuals living with disabilities. The donations will later be extended to other rural areas across the province.
“These activities reflect our continued commitment to uplifting our communities and standing with those who need us the most,” Sakala emphasized, highlighting the project’s goal of empowering lives through sport and service.
Sakala also expressed gratitude to the public for their patience and support during the mourning period for Zambia’s late former president. “We remain united in honoring his legacy through actions that strengthen and support our communities,” he said.
Under the motto “FS10 Dreams Don’t Die,” Sakala continues to lead initiatives that blend sport with social impact, inspiring hope and transformation across Zambia.
