FNB Zambia Announces 2025 FNB Kopala Run Set for July 26 in Kitwe
FNB Zambia has officially announced the highly anticipated 2025 edition of the FNB Kopala Run, scheduled to take place on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at Garden Court Hotel in Kitwe.
Now in its third year, the event has grown into a major national fitness and community engagement platform, with this year’s edition expected to attract over 6,000 participants.
Under the theme “Next is Now for Wellness”, FNB Zambia has partnered with MTN Mobile Money Zambia, Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia, and Sanlam Life Insurance Zambia as Gold Sponsors, in a strategic move to promote financial inclusion and healthy living.
Speaking during the announcement, FNB Zambia CEO, Ms. Kapumpe Chola, highlighted the significance of the partnerships. “We are excited to once again have MTN on board through their generous support of ZMW 450,000. This partnership is about more than branding—it’s about empowering Zambians with accessible financial services while encouraging healthier lifestyles,” she said.
MTN Mobile Money Zambia’s involvement will also enhance digital engagement at the event, streamlining transactions for participants and attendees.
Meanwhile, Coca-Cola Beverages Zambia reaffirmed its commitment to community health and business development through its sponsorship. Their participation continues a legacy of investing in impactful community events.
Sanlam Life Insurance Zambia joins the lineup with a comprehensive support package that includes:
- ZMW 10,000 life cover for all 6,000 participants,
- A ZMW 200,000 cash contribution,
- And an all-expenses-paid trip to Cape Town for the top two grand winners.
“This event offers a powerful platform to connect with communities and promote awareness about life insurance and healthy living,” Ms. Chola added.
The 2025 run will feature 21km and 10km races, with registration fees set at ZMW 295 and ZMW 195 respectively. Beyond running, the event promises entertainment, wellness zones, and a festival-like atmosphere.
