LCC Receives K24,000 Worth of Motorised Sprayers from LGAZ to Combat Cholera Outbreak
The Local Government Association of Zambia (LGAZ) has generously donated six motorised sprayers valued at K24,000 to the Lusaka City Council to help in combating the cholera outbreak.
The donation was prompted by the impressive presentation of the council’s Public Health Department at the 2022 Awards of Excellence.
The handover ceremony took place, with LGAZ Director of Finance, Sangulukani Zulu, presenting the sprayers to LCC Director of Public Health, Mr. Victor Kagoli.
Mr. Zulu expressed LGAZ’s commitment to standing in solidarity with LCC in the fight against cholera, emphasizing ongoing collaboration in all aspects of public health service delivery.
Mr. Kagoli conveyed his gratitude to LGAZ for the timely and generous donation, recognizing the significant impact the sprayers would have on enhancing the council’s disinfection activities across the city.
He urged Lusaka residents to adhere to preventive measures and hygiene practices to curb the spread of cholera, emphasizing the disease’s preventability and treatability.
The donation event witnessed the presence of Eugenia K.S Malenji, the LCC Director of Human Resource and Administration.
