MICC Declares Second Dividend as IDC Praises Teamwork and Strong Performance

Mulungushi International Conference Centre Limited (MICCL) has declared its second consecutive dividend, a move hailed by the Industrial Development Corporation (IDC) as a testament to teamwork, discipline and sustained performance.

During the official presentation of a dividend cheque worth ZMW 15,358,304.50 to IDC, Chief Executive Officer of the corporation, Mr Cornwell Muleya, praised MICCL for its continued financial improvement and commitment to value creation for shareholders and stakeholders.

“The dividend declaration reflects the Board and management’s dedication to consistent performance and strategic growth,” Mr Muleya said. “MICCL’s trajectory remains promising, and we are confident that the company’s plans to expand investments will bear fruit.” 

He also noted the broader impact of MICCL, highlighting its contribution to economic activity and the livelihoods of many Zambians.

MICCL Board Chairperson, Ms Leah Kooma, described the dividend as a demonstration of accountability and the delivery of sustainable returns to IDC. 

She revealed that for the financial year ending 31 December 2024, the company achieved total revenue of ZMW 127.98 million, surpassing the budgeted ZMW 118.74 million by seven per cent and recording a 24 per cent increase compared to the previous year.

General Manager Mr Dennis Moonga added that the results reflect the dedication of MICCL’s management and staff and reinforce the company’s position as Zambia’s preferred venue for international conferences, meetings and high-level events.
