Emirates to Auction Rare Skywards Platinum Memberships to Support Children’s Charities

Emirates Airline Foundation has partnered with Emirates Auction to launch an exclusive online auction of rare Emirates Skywards membership numbers, with all proceeds going towards supporting vulnerable children across the world.

The auction, which runs from 17 December 2025 to 17 January 2026, offers bidders the chance to secure special Skywards membership numbers that come with Platinum tier benefits valid for up to 20 years. The initiative is open to participants worldwide through the Emirates Auction digital platform.

According to the organisers, 100 per cent of the funds raised will be directed to the Emirates Airline Foundation, which currently supports 14 non-governmental organisations operating in nine countries. These projects focus on providing housing, education, healthcare, nutrition, and vocational skills to children living in vulnerable circumstances.

President of Emirates Airline and Chairman of the Emirates Airline Foundation, Sir Tim Clark, said the auction represents an innovative way to expand the Foundation’s global support base while increasing its humanitarian impact.

“This unique auction connects us with supporters around the world and helps us scale up the Foundation’s work,” Sir Tim said. “Every bid goes beyond premium travel benefits and directly contributes to improving the lives of children and their families through sustainable, community-based solutions.”

Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction, His Excellency Abdulla Matar Al Mannaei, said the partnership reflects the company’s ongoing commitment to humanitarian and charitable initiatives in the UAE. He noted that Emirates Auction would continue to support projects that deliver long-term social impact through world-class charity auctions.

Seven exclusive Skywards membership numbers are available for bidding, including highly distinctive sequences such as 7000000000 and 7777777770. Winning bidders will be notified within 24 hours after the auction closes, with payments accepted via bank transfer or cheque. The duration of Platinum status will depend on the final bid amount.

Skywards Platinum is the highest tier in the Emirates Skywards loyalty programme and is typically reserved for the airline’s most frequent flyers. Members enjoy priority First Class check-in, access to First and Business Class lounges worldwide, complimentary Home Check-in in Dubai, bonus Skywards Miles, and the ability to extend Gold status to a nominated individual.

The initiative coincides with the UAE’s Year of Community 2025 and reinforces Emirates’ broader commitment to social responsibility and sustainable community development. The Emirates Airline Foundation operates under the patronage of His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum and is regulated by Dubai’s charitable authorities.

Officials encouraged interested participants to register via the Emirates Auction website or mobile application to take part in the auction and contribute to programmes that continue to improve the lives of children globally.
