Cassava Technologies Partners with NVIDIA to Accelerate Africa’s Digital Future

Cassava Technologies, a global technology leader of African heritage, has announced a landmark investment from NVIDIA, the world-renowned computing and artificial intelligence company, aimed at accelerating the continent’s digital growth and innovation.

Hardy Pemhiwa, President and Group Chief Executive Officer of Cassava Technologies, described the investment as a pivotal step in advancing the company’s mission to bridge Africa’s digital divide.

“Cassava is Africa’s leading technology company, driving the continent’s digital transformation with digital infrastructure and digital services. Securing this investment is an important milestone that we expect to unlock additional value from and catalyse the further expansion of our digital infrastructure and services to bridge the digital divide on the continent,” said Mr Pemhiwa.

The investment further strengthens Cassava’s diverse shareholder base, which includes prominent global and African investors such as Econet Group, British International Investment, DFC, Finnfund, Fund for Export Development in Africa (Afreximbank/FEDA), Gateway Capital, Google LLC, International Finance Corporation (IFC), Public Investment Corporation, and Royal Bafokeng Holdings.

Cassava Technologies operates across Africa, the Middle East and Latin America through a robust portfolio of business units, including Liquid Intelligent Technologies, Africa Data Centres, Liquid C2, Cassava.ai, and Sasai Fintech. Each subsidiary plays a strategic role in expanding digital access, connectivity, and innovation across the regions it serves.

Through this new partnership, Cassava is set to leverage NVIDIA’s advanced technologies to enhance digital infrastructure, cloud computing, and artificial intelligence capacity in Africa. The collaboration is expected to accelerate data-driven innovation, improve service delivery, and position Cassava as a global technology leader with deep African roots.
