Zambia to Host 2024 African Union Sports Council Region 5 Annual Awards
Zambia is gearing up to host a prestigious sporting event – the 2024 African Union Sports Council Region 5 Annual Awards (RASA). This exciting announcement was made by the Minister of Youths, Sports, and Arts, Elvis Nkandu.
The ceremony will take place on May 25th, 2024, at the Mulungushi Conference Centre in Lusaka. The theme, “Celebrating Sports Excellence and Innovation,” aptly captures the spirit of the event, which aims to recognize and honor outstanding athletic achievements across the region.
Athletes from ten nations will be vying for recognition at the awards. These include Malawi, Eswatini (formerly Swaziland), Mozambique, Namibia, Lesotho, South Africa, Botswana, Angola, Zimbabwe, and of course, the host nation, Zambia.
