Chuuma Asset Management Joins LuSE

The Lusaka Securities Exchange Plc (LuSE) has announced the registration of Chuuma Asset Management Limited as a licensed Trading and Sponsoring Broker, supporting the continued expansion of Zambia’s capital markets.

The registration, effective Monday, 27th April 2026, brings the total number of licensed brokers on the Exchange to ten, reflecting growing investor confidence and deepening participation in the country’s financial markets.

LuSE Chief Executive Officer, Nicholas Kabaso, described the development as a strong signal of market maturity and openness.

“Reaching ten brokers on our register is not just a number—it is a statement. It tells the market, and the world, that Zambia’s capital markets are open, they are growing, and they are attracting serious, capable institutions,” he said. “Chuuma Asset Management Limited brings energy and commitment, and we welcome them wholeheartedly.”

Chuuma Asset Management Limited is now authorised to provide brokerage services to both institutional and retail investors, strengthening access to investment opportunities on the Exchange.

The new registration comes at a time of notable growth for LuSE, with rising retail investor participation supported by digital innovation, including the LuSE Mobile App, which has surpassed 40,000 registered users as of 4th May 2026.

The Exchange has also continued to attract new listings across its Main and Alternative Market (Alt-M) Boards, further broadening capital-raising opportunities for businesses.
