President Hichilema to Attend Virtual SADC Extraordinary Organ Troika Summit
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation has announced that President Hakainde Hichilema will participate in the virtual Extraordinary Organ Troika Summit Plus Mozambique on Sunday, January 5, 2025.
The Summit, organized under the leadership of Tanzanian President Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, Chair of the SADC Organ on Politics, Defence, and Security Cooperation, will focus on the post-election political and security situation in Mozambique.
The meeting highlights Zambia’s unwavering commitment to fostering peace and stability within the Southern African Development Community (SADC).
President Hichilema’s participation demonstrates Zambia’s dedication to regional cooperation and collective action to address shared challenges.
Preceding the Summit, virtual meetings of the Senior Officials and Organ Troika Ministerial Committee will take place on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
In a statement, Hon. Mulambo Haimbe, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, reaffirmed Zambia’s role as a steadfast advocate for regional stability and development.
