Zambia Seeks Stronger Partnerships at World Economic Forum

Zambia is aiming to build stronger ties with global partners at the ongoing Special Meeting of the World Economic Forum (WEF) in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The two-day event (April 28-29) brings together world leaders to discuss solutions for global challenges hindering growth and development.

Key themes include fostering international cooperation, promoting sustainable economic growth, and ensuring equitable energy access.

Zambia’s Finance Minister, Dr. Situmbeko Musokotwane, and Acting Foreign Minister, Mulambo Haimbe, are representing the country at the forum.

They were invited by their Saudi counterparts, highlighting the growing importance of Africa in global development discussions.

Minister Haimbe emphasized the value of the forum in creating partnerships between African nations and global players. 

Zambia is looking to establish mutually beneficial collaborations in key sectors to drive sustainable development.

The Zambian delegation plans to hold bilateral meetings with various dignitaries, including Jordan’s Deputy Prime Minister and the CEO of Philips International. 

These meetings aim to strengthen Zambia’s international relations and explore potential collaborations.
