Zambian Referee Diana Chikotesha to Officiate at Paris Olympic Football Tournaments
Zambia’s renowned referee, Diana Chikotesha, has been appointed to officiate at the prestigious 2024 Olympic football tournaments set to take place in Paris, France.
Chikotesha’s inclusion in the esteemed list of match officials marks another significant milestone in her illustrious career.
The FIFA Referees Committee has selected an 89-member panel comprising 21 referees, 42 assistant referees, 20 video match officials, and six support referees from 45 different countries for the 2024 Olympics.
Chikotesha’s expertise and experience have earned her a well-deserved place among these esteemed officials.
Throughout her career, Chikotesha has garnered a wealth of experience, having officiated at various high-profile events including the Africa Cup of Nations tournaments, the junior World Cup, the FIFA Women’s World Cup, the AFCON final, as well as numerous CAF Champions League and Confederation Cup matches.
The women’s Olympic football tournament is scheduled to run from July 25th to August 10th, 2024, while the men’s competition will commence on July 24th and conclude on August 9th, 2024. Both finals are set to be held at the Parc des Princes, the renowned home ground of Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain FC.
