Proflight Zambia Announces Increased Connectivity and Schedule Adjustments for Festive Season and Beyond

Proflight Zambia, a leading airline in the region, is excited to announce enhanced connectivity between Lusaka and Cape Town during the upcoming festive season. 

Starting from December 8, the airline will increase its weekly flights from two to three, offering more choices for travelers seeking a holiday getaway in the vibrant city.

Flights on the Lusaka to Cape Town route are scheduled for Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, running until January 5, 2024. This adjustment aims to accommodate the heightened demand for travel during the festive period, providing passengers with greater flexibility in planning their journeys.

Captain Josias Walubita, Director of Flight Operations at Proflight Zambia, stated, “This increase in frequency aligns with the heightened demand for travel during the festive period, ensuring that passengers have greater flexibility in planning their journeys.”

Looking ahead to the new year, Proflight has also made schedule adjustments on its three South African routes: Durban, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. 

Starting from February 6, Cape Town flights will permanently operate three times a week on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays, with unchanged departure times at 08:00 Hrs and return at 15:35 Hrs.

On the Lusaka to Johannesburg route, from January 16 to June 27, the airline will operate morning and evening flights on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. 

From January 16 to February 16, there will be morning and evening flights on Fridays. On all other days, the airline will continue to operate three daily flights between Lusaka and Johannesburg in the morning, midday, and evening.

For the Lusaka to Durban route, starting February 2, Proflight will operate on new days: Monday and Friday, instead of Thursday and Sunday. 

The new scheduled times depart Lusaka at 08:15 Hrs, arrive in Durban at 10:45 Hrs, depart Durban at 11:30 Hrs, and arrive back in Lusaka at 14:00 Hrs. 

These adjustments aim to provide morning connections from Ndola and increased afternoon connections onwards to Solwezi, Ndola, Mfuwe, and Livingstone.
