He emphasized the need for a robust and agile cholera elimination plan and its effective implementation.
Victor Nyasulu, the Director General of Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZAMMSA), underscored the agency’s dedication to the fight against the pandemic.
Mr. Nyasulu highlighted ZAMMSA’s commitment to ensuring the timely procurement and distribution of essential medicines and medical supplies crucial for the management and treatment of cholera.
The donation of ORS by UNICEF is expected to significantly contribute to the control and management of the cholera epidemic, providing a vital tool in the treatment and rehydration of individuals affected by the disease.
As Zambia continues to grapple with the challenges posed by the cholera outbreak, partnerships and support from organizations like UNICEF play a pivotal role in bolstering the country’s response efforts and mitigating the impact on affected communities.
