Emirates Deepens China Footprint With New Interline Deal Unlocking 22 Additional Cities

Emirates has strengthened its presence in China after signing an interline agreement with Loong Air, giving customers access to more destinations beyond the airline’s existing gateways.

With immediate effect, Emirates passengers can connect to 22 domestic destinations across China operated by Loong Air via Hangzhou, Shenzhen and Hong Kong. The additional cities span key regions including East, Northeast, South, Central and Southwest China, enhancing connectivity for both leisure and business travellers.

Under the partnership, customers benefit from the convenience of booking multi-airline itineraries on a single ticket, a seamless baggage policy, and consistent fare conditions throughout their journey. The expanded network opens access to important domestic hubs such as Zhengzhou, Changchun, Haikou, Xiangyang and Dazhou.

Tickets are available through the Emirates website, online travel agencies and major global distribution systems. Customers booking via emirates.com can also make use of popular online payment options, including WeChat Pay and Alipay.

The agreement forms part of Emirates’ wider commitment to the Chinese market. In recent years, the airline has launched services to Shenzhen and Hangzhou, deployed its award-winning Premium Economy on select routes, and reintroduced the A380 on flights to Shanghai.

Emirates has operated in mainland China since 2004 and currently serves Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, Shenzhen and Hangzhou with 49 weekly flights using a mix of A380, A350 and Boeing 777 aircraft. Through partnerships with Loong Air, Air China, China Southern Airlines and Sichuan Airlines, Emirates now offers customers access to more than 110 destinations across China beyond its own network.
