Emirates Introduces Premium Economy on Beirut and Beijing Flights

Dubai-based airline Emirates has announced the introduction of retrofitted Boeing 777 aircraft featuring its award-winning Premium Economy cabin on services to Beirut and Beijing, further expanding the availability of its latest onboard products.

From 6 January 2026, the upgraded Boeing 777 will operate flights EK953/954 between Dubai and Beirut, marking the first time travellers on this route will experience Emirates’ Premium Economy and the new Business Class cabin in a 1-2-1 layout.

Beijing will follow from 1 February 2026, with flights EK306/307 becoming the fourth route in mainland China to be served by Emirates’ next-generation aircraft.

The Beirut service is designed to offer convenient connections to cities with large Lebanese diaspora communities, including Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, New York, Los Angeles, Boston, Chicago, Miami and Montreal.

Meanwhile, passengers travelling via Beijing will benefit from seamless Premium Economy connections across Emirates’ global network, including destinations such as London Heathrow, New York JFK, São Paulo, Johannesburg, Madrid, Malé and Lisbon, as well as key Gulf cities.

The refurbished four-class Boeing 777 features modern interiors across all cabins, including 260 Economy seats, 24 Premium Economy seats, 40 Business Class seats with full aisle access, and eight First Class suites.

Emirates’ Premium Economy has been well received for offering enhanced comfort and service, with spacious leather seats, generous recline, in-seat charging, large entertainment screens and premium dining touches.

Emirates said the rollout reflects its ongoing investment in improving the passenger experience across its fleet. Tickets are available via emirates.com, the Emirates App, contact centres and travel agents.
