Cassava and Entanglement Partner to Boost AI in Africa
Cassava Technologies, a global technology leader of African heritage, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with U.S.-based Entanglement, Inc., a pioneer in next-generation computing and artificial intelligence (AI), to accelerate digital innovation across Africa and the Middle East.
The partnership combines Cassava’s high-speed fibre networks, GPU-enabled compute, and regional data centres with Entanglement’s expertise in AI, cyber security, and quantum-inspired platforms.
Together, the companies plan to deliver transformative technologies in countries including Nigeria, Kenya, Egypt, Morocco, South Africa, and the Gulf, addressing critical needs in cyber security, healthcare, climate sustainability, and data centre efficiency.
“This collaboration coincides with the launch of our GPU-as-a-Service,” said Hardy Pemhiwa, President and CEO of Cassava Technologies. “By combining our infrastructure with Entanglement’s cutting-edge AI and quantum-inspired technologies, we are laying the groundwork for innovations that will transform industries, strengthen cyber security, and drive sustainable economic growth across Africa and the Middle East.”
Jason Turner, Chairman and CEO of Entanglement, added, “Our partnership with Cassava opens access to some of the fastest-growing digital economies in the world. It positions us to deliver scalable AI solutions in regions traditionally constrained by infrastructure, energy, and scale.”
The collaboration will initially focus on cyber security and AI model protection, deploying seQure’s Ground-Truth™ for telecommunications and governmental compliance. It will also advance AI infrastructure assurance and export compliance, using Entanglement’s DCAP (Data Center Awareness Platform) to standardise U.S. chip export requirements.
Other priority areas include data centre optimisation, using Hyper.Train™ to reduce energy costs and improve AI training performance; biosurveillance, implementing Prepaire™ for real-time pathogen detection; and climate intelligence, deploying Quantum Almanac™ for advanced forecasting.
Beyond technology, the partnership will establish innovation hubs, training programmes, and research initiatives, ensuring that African and Middle Eastern markets fully participate in the global innovation economy. These initiatives aim to develop talent, facilitate knowledge transfer, and foster skills for the next generation of digital innovators, in collaboration with governments, enterprises, and academia.
