AGL Strengthens Angola Supply Chains, Joins AOG 2025 as Bronze Sponsor
Africa Global Logistics (AGL), a major player in multimodal logistics, transport and port operations across Africa, has confirmed its participation in the Angola Oil & Gas (AOG) 2025 conference as a Bronze Sponsor. The event is scheduled to take place on September 3-4, 2025, in Luanda.
AGL’s involvement marks a significant milestone in its growing presence in Angola. The company has invested heavily in port and logistics infrastructure, notably launching operations at the AGL Lobito Terminal in 2024—Angola’s busiest port hub.
The terminal handles over one million tons of bulk cargo and 100,000 TEUs annually, serving as a vital Atlantic gateway to the copper-rich regions of Zambia and the Democratic Republic of the Congo via the Lobito Railway.
With operations spanning port, road, rail, and air freight, AGL provides tailored logistics management solutions, making it a strategic partner in Angola’s oil and gas ecosystem. Its participation at AOG 2025 is timely, as Angola prepares to bring several major energy projects online between 2025 and 2028, including the Cabinda Refinery and the Kaminho Deepwater Development.
AOG 2025, the country’s largest oil and gas event, is backed by key national and regional bodies such as the Ministry of Mineral Resources, Oil and Gas; Sonangol; and the African Energy Chamber. AGL’s sponsorship underscores its commitment to supporting Angola’s industrialization drive and enhancing intra-African petroleum trade.
Industry stakeholders view AGL’s engagement as a catalyst for deeper collaboration in upstream, downstream, and logistics sectors. With the country ramping up energy production and exports, AGL’s expertise in seamless supply chain coordination is expected to play a critical role in ensuring the success of Angola’s energy ambitions.
