Prosper Africa and Afreximbank Forge Partnership to Boost U.S.-Africa Trade
Prosper Africa and the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank) have signed a groundbreaking Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) aimed at mobilizing trade and investment between the United States and Africa.
The collaboration will focus on key sectors, including creative industries, agribusiness, textiles, critical minerals, and emerging technologies. Key initiatives include capital access facilitation, SME development, technical advisory support, and strategic event collaboration, promoting job creation, innovation, and cultural exchange.
“This partnership strengthens economic ties, fosters shared prosperity, and advances trade opportunities for both regions,” stated Prosper Africa Coordinator, British A. Robinson.
Kanayo Awani, EVP of Intra-Africa Trade at Afreximbank, emphasized that the partnership would unlock market access for African businesses and drive sustainable growth.
An Implementation Team will oversee the MoU’s execution, ensuring progress in fostering robust U.S.-Africa economic ties.
