ZDA Woos UAE Investors to Explore Opportunities in Zambia
The Zambia Development Agency (ZDA), in collaboration with the Zambian consulate in Dubai, has been actively engaging investors from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) to explore Zambia’s vast resources and investment opportunities.
A business-to-government (B2G) meeting was facilitated, bringing together investors and key government economic ministries to discuss potential partnerships.
The meeting featured representatives from several ministries, including Infrastructure and Housing Development, Mines and Minerals Development, Energy, Agriculture, Education, Tourism, Science and Technology, and Transport and Communication. Presentations were made by the respective Permanent Secretaries, showcasing sector-specific investment opportunities.
ZDA Director General Albert Halwampa welcomed the delegates, emphasizing that by the end of the meeting, they would have a clearer understanding of the advantages of investing in Zambia. ZDA also highlighted various profiled projects across different sectors, detailing the country’s readiness for investment.
Following the discussions, investors toured the Lusaka South Multi-facility Economic (LSMFEZ) Zone to gain insights into the concept of the Multi-facility Economic Zones and the companies already established there.
Among the UAE investors in attendance were representatives from Tan Choice, International Investment Consortium, Rafmoh Gold, Oneroad Group, Hillington International Group, Future Trends, and IL & FS Engineering Consortium Company. The UAE inward mission was facilitated by the Zambian consulate in Dubai.
