Cassava Technologies Unveils Africa’s First Autonomous Network Powered by NVIDIA

Cassava Technologies (www.CassavaTechnologies.com), a global technology leader of African heritage, has launched the Cassava Autonomous Network, the continent’s first African-ready autonomous network designed to self-optimise mobile Radio Access Networks (RAN) and tackle the unique challenges of Africa’s connectivity landscape.

The solution, powered by NVIDIA AI infrastructure, NVIDIA NIM microservices, and NVIDIA Network Configuration Blueprint, delivers policy-driven automation that replaces manual network adjustments with continuous, intelligent optimisations. 

This can reduce operational bottlenecks and increase efficiency by up to 75%. The network operates on CAIMEx, a localised multi-model platform that provides unified access to leading AI models through regional AI factories.

African telecom operators face increasingly complex networks under tight resource constraints. While 4G remains dominant, 5G deployment is expanding, making daily optimisation a time-consuming manual task. 

Cassava’s solution automates this process, reducing repair times for minor issues from four days to approximately 35 minutes, and is compatible with all vendors and network generations, including 2G, 3G, 4G, and 5G, as well as hybrid and cloud-native deployments.
