Zambia’s High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Her Excellency Macenje Mazoka, has been recognised with the prestigious African Embassy and Ambassador Award of the Year 2025 at the London Political Summit and Awards.
The ceremony, held at the House of Commons on 15 October and hosted by Burnley MP Oliver Ryan, marked the 10th anniversary of the Summit. The accolade celebrates H.E. Mazoka’s exceptional efforts in strengthening Zambia–UK diplomatic ties, fostering trade and investment, and advancing partnerships in education, governance, and community engagement.
In her acceptance remarks, High Commissioner Mazoka expressed deep appreciation for the honour, describing it as a reflection of Zambia’s commitment to global cooperation and shared progress.
“This award represents not only my service but also the collective resilience and dedication of the Zambian people whom I proudly serve,” she stated.
Also recognised at the event was former Kenyan Vice President, Rt. Hon. Stephen Kalonzo Musyoka, who received the Africa Political Leader and Personality of the Year 2025 award.
Delivering the keynote address, Mr Musyoka highlighted Africa’s rising influence in global affairs, particularly through its youth, and emphasised the need for ethical governance, inclusive growth, and sustainable peace.
He further paid tribute to the late Rt. Hon. Raila Odinga, lauding his contribution to Kenya’s democratic and political legacy.
