Proflight Zambia Boosts 2025 Flights to Elevate Connectivity
Proflight Zambia, the country’s leading scheduled airline, has unveiled a series of schedule enhancements across its domestic and regional routes to strengthen connectivity and enhance travel convenience for passengers.
The airline will maintain its two daily flights between Lusaka and Johannesburg, a vital link for both regional business and international travellers. To better accommodate peak travel periods, Proflight Zambia has reinstated a third daily flight on Saturdays and Sundays, as well as on selected dates during the holiday season.
These additional services will offer seamless connections with long-haul flights to key international destinations such as Australia and the United States.
The new evening service, flight P0028 departing Lusaka at 16:30 and arriving in Johannesburg at 18:30, will operate on Saturdays and Sundays from 27 September 2025 through to the first week of January.
The return flight, P0029, leaves Johannesburg at 20:30 and arrives in Lusaka at 22:30. During the holiday peak period, from 1 December 2025 to 3 January 2026, these flights will also run on selected weekdays, reducing the need for overnight layovers in Johannesburg.
Proflight Zambia will also adjust timings on its popular Lusaka–Cape Town route via Livingstone from 7 August 2025, with flight P0050 departing Lusaka at 07:15, stopping in Livingstone at 08:40, and arriving in Cape Town at 11:40. The return flight, P0051, will leave Cape Town at 12:35, stop in Livingstone at 15:25, and arrive in Lusaka at 16:50. From 18 October 2025, a third weekly flight will be introduced on Saturdays to further accommodate traveller demand.
Responding to increased demand from Zambia’s corporate and mining sectors, Proflight Zambia has also boosted frequencies on key domestic routes. The airline now offers over 35 weekly return flights between Lusaka and Ndola, 15 weekly flights to Solwezi, and 12 weekly flights to Kalumbila. These improvements aim to support economic activity and ensure frequent, reliable connectivity across Zambia’s vital industrial hubs.
Captain Josias Walubita, Proflight Zambia’s Director of Flight Operations, said, “These schedule enhancements reflect our ongoing commitment to improving connectivity and efficiency. By listening to passenger feedback and closely monitoring demand, we are positioning Proflight Zambia to better serve travellers while maintaining the highest standards of reliability, safety, and comfort.”
