LuSE Announces Temporary Closure for Heroes and Unity Day Holidays
The Lusaka Securities Exchange (LuSE) has announced a temporary suspension of trading activities in observance of the upcoming Heroes Day and Unity Day holidays.
This follows Cabinet Office’s official declaration, as per Government Gazette Notice No. 157 of 2025, confirming that Heroes Day will be commemorated on Monday, July 7, and Unity Day on Tuesday, July 8, 2025.
In line with this, LuSE Chief Executive Officer Nicholas Kabaso has confirmed that the Exchange will remain closed for trading on both days, resuming normal operations on Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
“We urge all market participants to take note of these dates and plan their trading and settlement activities accordingly,” Kabaso stated.
He reassured stakeholders of LuSE’s continued commitment to maintaining a fair, orderly, and efficient market in full compliance with national regulations.
