Ecobank Zambia, a key affiliate of Ecobank Transnational Incorporated (ETI), is leading Pan-African participation at the highly anticipated Land-Linked Conference and Expo set for 10th–11th April 2025 at Ciêla Resort & Spa in Lusaka.
The prestigious event will be officiated by Republican President Hakainde Hichilema and Minister of Transport and Logistics, Hon. Frank Museba Tayali (MP).
As part of its commitment to advancing intra-African trade, Ecobank Zambia has contributed ZMW 375,000 towards the success of the event. The bank’s involvement underscores its dedication to enhancing cross-border commerce, infrastructure development, and economic collaboration across the continent.
Speaking on the bank’s involvement, Mr. Fabiano Zulu, Ecobank Zambia’s Head of Trade and Finance, stated: “Ecobank Zambia is delighted to be part of this prestigious event, which aligns with our vision of fostering economic integration across Africa. Our participation reflects our ongoing commitment to providing innovative trade finance and banking solutions that support the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).”
The Land-Linked Conference is expected to draw over 600 delegates from 17 African nations, with Ecobank having a strong presence in eight of those countries: Zambia, Malawi, Tanzania, Zimbabwe, DRC, Burundi, Rwanda, and Mozambique. This participation further highlights Ecobank’s strength as a Pan-African banking partner.
The conference will explore infrastructure opportunities along key trade routes, particularly the Lobito Corridor, vital for unlocking regional economic potential and creating seamless transport and logistics networks across borders.
