Ecobank Named Africa’s Best Bank for Trade Finance in Global Finance Awards
Ecobank Group (www.Ecobank.com), the leading pan-African financial services institution, has been recognized as the Best Trade Finance Provider Bank in Africa at the 2025 Global Finance Trade Finance & Supply Chain Finance Awards.
The bank also secured the title of Best Trade Finance Provider in Burkina Faso, Côte d’Ivoire, and Rwanda.
Michael Larbie, Group Executive of Corporate and Investment Banking, highlighted Ecobank’s dedication to advancing trade across Africa through innovative solutions.

The Global Finance awards jury, comprising industry analysts, corporate executives, and technology experts, evaluated financial institutions based on trade-related transaction volume, customer service, global coverage, competitive pricing, risk management, and innovation.
The awards were officially presented during the BAFT Europe Bank-To-Bank Forum in Amsterdam on March 12, 2025. Moukaramou Chanou, Managing Director of Ecobank International, accepted the award on behalf of the Ecobank Group.
