Emirates Aviation University Honors 288 Emerging Aviation Leaders
Emirates Aviation University (EAU) celebrated the graduation of 288 students at its 34th ceremony, marking another milestone in producing skilled leaders for the aviation industry.
The diverse cohort, which included postgraduate and undergraduate students from various disciplines, was awarded degrees in fields such as aviation management, aeronautical engineering, aerospace engineering, and more.
The event, held at EAU’s Dubai campus, was graced by His Highness Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive of Emirates Airline and Group, and Chancellor of EAU. Dignitaries, Emirates Group executives, graduates’ families, and faculty were also in attendance.
Professor Ahmad Al Ali, Vice-Chancellor of EAU, lauded the institution’s commitment to nurturing future aviation leaders, highlighting the impressive 84% post-graduation employment rate.
“Our graduates continue to thrive across the aviation sector, leveraging next-generation technologies and new learning methods to meet the evolving challenges of air travel,” he said.
The 288 graduates consisted of 100 postgraduate and 188 bachelor’s degree students, with 37 Emirates-sponsored scholars among them. Fourteen students were honored for exemplary achievements in their respective disciplines, reflecting EAU’s dedication to shaping top-tier aviation professionals.
Additionally, over 180 undergraduate students had the unique opportunity to intern with the Emirates Group, providing them with invaluable hands-on experience to kickstart their careers. These internships are seen as a key stepping stone, enabling students to perform real-world tasks and apply their academic knowledge.
Since its founding in 1991, EAU has established itself as a regional leader in aviation education, offering a wide range of accredited programs in aeronautical engineering, aviation management, and related fields.
With global recognition and a robust internship program with the Emirates Group, EAU continues to be a breeding ground for the next generation of aviation experts.
