President Hichilema Holds Bilateral Talks with King Charles III
Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema earlier today, held bilateral talks with His Majesty King Charles III at Buckingham Palace.
The meeting underscored the deep relations between Zambia and the United Kingdom as Zambia celebrates its 60th independence anniversary.
President Hichilema highlighted his government’s focus on a foreign policy agenda rooted in economic diplomacy since assuming office in 2021.
This policy aims to fully open Zambia to increased investment and trade, fostering economic growth and development.
During the talks, President Hichilema expressed gratitude to King Charles III and the British people for their unwavering support over the years.
He acknowledged the long-standing relationship between the two nations and emphasized the importance of continued collaboration.
“We reaffirmed our deep relations between the two countries as Zambia commemorates the 60th independence anniversary,” President Hichilema stated. “We thanked His Majesty and the British people for the unwavering support they have given the people of Zambia over the years.”
