Zambian Delegation Showcases Tourism Potential at Africa Travel Indaba 2024
The vibrant colors of Zambia’s tourism industry were on full display at the Africa Travel Indaba 2024, held in Durban, South Africa. With an impressive turnout of 38 private companies under the Zambia Tourism Agency (ZTA), the nation made a resounding statement about its commitment to becoming a premier tourism destination.
Speaking at the event, Ministry of Tourism Permanent Secretary Evans Muhanga underscored the government’s unwavering support for the sector’s growth.
He emphasized the pivotal role tourism plays in job creation, local business support, and economic empowerment.
Muhanga’s sentiments were echoed by Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, Mazuba Monze, who expressed delight at the robust participation of Zambian companies.
The Africa Travel Indaba, renowned as one of the continent’s largest tourism marketing events, provided an ideal platform for Zambia to showcase its diverse offerings.
