Airtel Money Partners with IZWE to Introduce Convenient Payment Solution

Airtel Mobile Commerce (Airtel Money) has announced a strategic partnership with IZWE, introducing a convenient payment solution for customers through the IZWE Pay Point of Sale (PoS) Terminal.

This collaboration aims to offer customers an additional seamless method to pay for goods and services.

The platform operates by initiating bill payments through the PoS terminal, with the cashier sending a confirmation of the amount to the customer’s phone.

Subsequently, customers enter their PIN and receive a payment confirmation SMS, mirroring the process similar to using a bank card.

Mr. Andrew Chuma, Country Director of Airtel Mobile Commerce, expressed satisfaction with the agreement, highlighting the unique dynamic of the partnership.

He emphasized Airtel Money’s enthusiasm for enabling customers to utilize the IZWE point of sale for various transactions, enhancing convenience and accessibility.

Mr. Kulusu Chisola, Chief Executive Officer of IZWE, underscored the significance of the partnership, citing Airtel Money’s extensive reach and vast customer base.

Integration with Airtel Money as one of the tender types hosted on their device will expand the inclusion of individuals and businesses using this payment channel regularly.

The partnership between Airtel Money and IZWE signifies the growing mobile phone access across the country, reflecting the increasing reliance on mobile financial services for daily transactions.

This collaboration is poised to streamline payment processes and enhance the overall customer experience for Airtel subscribers and businesses alike.
