Emirates Celebrates Holi with Passengers Heading to India

Dubai-based airline Emirates is set to spread the joy of the vibrant festival of Holi to its passengers traveling to select destinations in India. On March 24th and 25th, passengers on flights to Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, and Mumbai will be greeted with special treats and beverages to mark the occasion.

Emirates is bringing a taste of Holi onboard by offering its customers the traditional Indian sweet Kesar Gujiya, a deep-fried dumpling stuffed with solidified milk and dried fruits, served in colorful boxes reminiscent of the festival’s vibrant hues.

First and Business Class passengers will also be treated to refreshing Thandai, a festive drink made from milk and nuts, flavored with saffron and rose petals.

To further immerse passengers in the festive spirit, Emirates is offering a vast selection of classic Bollywood movies through its in-flight entertainment system, ICE.

With up to 260 Indian movies, including new releases and timeless classics, passengers can enjoy box office hits like “Pathaan” and “The Great Indian Family,” as well as a special collection of films from Yash Raj Films, known as Bollywood’s ‘father of romance.’

Additionally, passengers can groove to Indian music playlists and a special compilation of Holi-themed music videos titled “Holi Hai!”

Emirates’ celebration of Holi underscores its deep-rooted connection with India, spanning 37 years of shared history and cultural affinity.

With nine destinations in India and 170 weekly flights, Emirates remains a key player in connecting millions of travelers between Dubai and India, as well as across its global network.

Passengers embark on their journey to India with Emirates, anticipating an enchanting experience of Holi celebrations even at 30,000 feet above ground. This adds a delightful touch of joy and festivity to their travel experience, courtesy of the renowned airline.
