ZCCM-IH Donates K1 Million to Aid Cholera Fight in Zambia
ZCCM Investments Holdings (ZCCM-IH) has made a substantial contribution of K1 million to aid in the battle against the prevailing cholera outbreak.
The generous donation is directed towards the Ministry of Health in Zambia and is explicitly designated to facilitate the provision of crucial food supplies at cholera treatment centers nationwide
Dr. Ndoba Vibetti, the CEO of ZCCM-IH, formally presented the cheque to the Ministry of Health during a ceremony attended by the Health Minister, Hon. Sylvia Masebo.
Dr. Vibetti emphasized that the allocated funds are intended to address the nutritional needs of both patients and dedicated healthcare workers stationed at cholera treatment centers.
Expressing gratitude on behalf of the Ministry, Hon. Sylvia Masebo conveyed assurance that the donation would be directed towards its designated purpose.
She highlighted the critical role of proper nutrition in the recovery process, stating, “Our patients and staff at the treatment centers receive a good diet because of support such as this. Good nutrition is important to us. This will go a long way in combating the scourge.”
