Chilanga Cement PLC Boosts Education with Desk Donations to Community Schools
Chilanga Cement Plc, a prominent cement manufacturing company, has donated 100 desks to Sosco and Linda community schools in Chilanga District. This initiative aims to address the critical need for adequate learning infrastructure in the region.
According to a statement issued by Gift Danga the Corporate Affairs and Communications Manager, the desks, handed over to the two schools in a ceremony today, represent a tangible contribution to creating a conducive learning environment for students.
Chilanga Cement’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy pillar on education underlines the importance of supporting education and community development.
Chilanga Cement’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Chai Jianping, expressed enthusiasm about the initiative, stating, “Education is a powerful tool for societal development, and we believe that every child deserves access to a quality learning environment. We believe that a good learning environment is vital for students to grow fully, and these desks will play a big role in creating a comfortable and inspiring space for education.”

Hon. Sipho Hlazo, the Member of Parliament for Chilanga, expressed gratitude for the company’s gesture and emphasized the importance of collaborative efforts to address educational challenges in the district.

The Head Teacher of Sosco and Linda Community Schools expressed gratitude for the donation, highlighting its significant impact in alleviating some of the burdens faced by the schools.
