In line with its commitment to Dubai’s Economic Agenda (D33), Emirates unveiled a US$ 950 million investment for a state-of-the-art engineering facility at Dubai World Central (DWC).
This facility, covering 1 million square meters, will be the largest and most advanced of its kind, supporting Emirates’ aircraft fleet and operational requirements until the 2040s.
Emirates also solidified key partnerships, awarding contracts worth US$ 1.2 billion to Safran for the latest generation Safran Seats for its Airbus A350 and Boeing 777X-9 fleets. Additionally, agreements exceeding US$ 1.5 billion were signed to optimize the A380 fleet’s lifespan, covering maintenance, repair, overhaul services, and technical support.
A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed between Emirates and the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA)’s International Aviation Consulting and Training (IACT) to develop bespoke training solutions, contributing to the UAE’s engineering talent pool.
Emirates and Boeing inked an MoU to leverage advanced digital technologies, including drone-assisted aircraft inspections and virtual and augmented reality for maintenance activities.
Further enhancing connectivity, Emirates and Condor activated a reciprocal interline agreement, providing customers access to 70 routes across Europe, Africa, Asia, Australasia, and the Middle East with a single ticket fare and a hassle-free baggage policy.
Throughout the airshow, Emirates showcased innovations, including extended reality and AI immigration solutions. MIRA, an extended reality (iXR) training tool, was introduced, attracting attention from HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President and Ruler of Dubai.
Emirates welcomed over 43,500 visitors to its stand and aircraft displays, further solidifying its leading position in the aviation industry.
