Zambia’s Ambassador Presents Credentials to French President Macron
Her Excellency Ms. Judith Mulenga has officially assumed her role as Zambia’s Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to France after presenting her Letters of Credence to French President Emmanuel Macron.
The ceremony, held at the prestigious Élysée Palace in Paris on Thursday, marked Ambassador Mulenga’s formal accreditation to represent Zambia in France.
In an official statement issued by Naomi Mweemba, First Secretary Press at the Embassy of Zambia in Paris, Ambassador Mulenga conveyed President Hakainde Hichilema’s appreciation to President Macron and the Government of France for their support in Zambia’s efforts to overcome debt distress through restructuring.
Ambassador Mulenga expressed gratitude for France’s Direct Budget Support to Zambia, highlighting President Hichilema’s commitment to revitalizing the Zambian economy and improving the livelihoods of its citizens. “President Hichilema is anxious to develop the economy to improve people’s living standards,” stated Ambassador Mulenga, underscoring the administration’s priorities.
In response, President Macron commended President Hichilema’s efforts in restructuring Zambia’s debt and assured Ambassador Mulenga of France’s continued support.
