14th Mobile Broadband Forum Offers Inspiration for Zambia’s Digital Transformation
Zambia is looking forward to gain valuable insights and inspiration for its digital transformation journey from the 14th Mobile Broadband Forum (MBBF) scheduled in Dubai on 10th-11th October, 2023.
Huawei, a key participant in the forum, is particularly excited about the potential lessons that can be applied to Zambia’s budding 5G project.
The MBBF is an annual event that brings together industry leaders, including Huawei, GSMA, SAMENA Telecommunications Council, and others, to discuss the development direction of the mobile communications industry and the possibilities of mobile connectivity.
Bette Chen, Huawei Managing Director for Zambia Country Office, highlighted the forum’s theme centered around 5G and 5.5G mobile connectivity, emphasizing the progress made in the industry.
She believes that Zambia can benefit greatly from the insights shared during the forum, which could help enhance the country’s digital transformation efforts.
Chen stated that connectivity plays a vital role in society, and any improvements in this area can have a significant impact. Huawei recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Government of Zambia on Digital Transformation Partnership in China, and Chen believes that the MBBF can contribute to strengthening this partnership further.
The MBBF, which originally started in Oslo in 2023, has become an annual event where industry leaders discuss mobile communications trends and insights.
This year’s forum will include both online and onsite activities, offering opportunities to explore 5G business success, ecosystem maturity, and the commercialization of 5.5G.
Chen encouraged journalists and stakeholders to follow the positive developments in the tech space closely and share stories that inspire change in Zambia’s digital landscape.
