Zambia’s New High Commissioner to South Africa Presents Credentials
Her Excellency Mazuba Monze, Zambia’s High Commissioner to South Africa, has officially presented her credentials to President Cyril Ramaphosa of South Africa during a ceremony at the Sefako Makgatho Presidential Guest House in Pretoria.
In a statement issued by Tamara Nyirenda, First Secretary of Press and Public Relations at the Zambia High Commission in South Africa, President Ramaphosa acknowledged the longstanding friendship between South Africa and Zambia, emphasizing the strengthening of bilateral relations.
He congratulated Ms. Monze on her appointment and wished her success in her role as Zambia’s envoy to South Africa
In her response, Ms. Monze expressed her commitment to enhancing mutual cooperation and understanding between the two nations. She highlighted the rich history of cooperation between Zambia and South Africa in various areas, including health, trade, infrastructure development, energy, mining, cultural exchange, and diplomacy.
Ms. Monze also conveyed President Hakainde Hichilema’s dedication to maintaining and enhancing bilateral relations based on shared values, economic development, and mutual interests.
Furthermore, Ms. Monze affirmed Zambia’s commitment to contributing positively to regional security and stability. She emphasized the enduring and mutually beneficial relationship between Zambia and South Africa, encompassing economic development, cultural ties, education, and more.
Ms. Monze officially assumed her role as High Commissioner to South Africa on May 4, 2023, following her swearing-in by President Hakainde Hichilema.
