Zambia Sees Drop in Fuel Prices for February 2026
The Energy Regulation Board (ERB) has announced a downward revision of national pump prices for petroleum products, following global price movements and a stronger exchange rate.
Since the last review in December 2025, international petrol prices fell by 7.89%, from US$73.25 to US$67.47 per barrel, while diesel declined by 3.80% from US$79.93 per barrel to US$76.89 per barrel. Kerosene/Jet A-1 also decreased by 4.05%, from US$82.00 to US$78.68 per barrel. The local currency strengthened by 10.6% during January, from an average of K22.30/US$ to K19.94/US$.
As a result, ERB has adjusted pump prices as follows: petrol from K29.92/litre to K27.88/litre, diesel from K25.11/litre to K24.50/litre, kerosene from K23.88/litre to K22.24/litre, and Jet A-1 from K25.53/litre to K23.80/litre.
Posted Airfield Prices (PAP) at international airports have also been revised: Lusaka (KKIA) K27.04/litre, Ndola (SMKIA) K24.60/litre, Livingstone K23.80/litre, and Mfuwe K23.80/litre.
The new prices will take effect from midnight on 31 January 2026 and will remain in force until further notice. The full wholesale and pump price build-ups for February are available on the ERB website at www.erb.org.zm.
