Zambia’s Minister of Tourism, Honourable Rodney Sikumba, has arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to represent the country at the UAE–Africa Tourism and Investment Summit, taking place from 27th to 29th October 2025 under the theme “Building Bridges for Sustainable Growth.”

Hosted by the UAE Ministry of Economy and Tourism, the high-level gathering brings together Tourism Ministers from across Africa, senior officials from Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), private sector leaders, and global investors to foster partnerships aimed at driving sustainable tourism and responsible investment.

Hon. Sikumba’s participation highlights Zambia’s continued commitment to placing sustainability at the core of its tourism and investment agenda. His engagements at the Summit will centre on enhancing cooperation between the UAE and Africa, promoting inclusive growth, and positioning Zambia as a preferred destination for eco-friendly tourism and long-term investment.

Speaking upon arrival in Dubai, Hon. Sikumba expressed confidence that Zambia’s participation in the Summit would create new pathways for collaboration and support the country’s shift towards a sustainable tourism economy.

“This Summit presents a vital opportunity to showcase Zambia’s extraordinary natural heritage and our vision for a tourism sector built on sustainability, inclusivity, and shared prosperity,” said Hon. Sikumba. “By forming meaningful partnerships and prioritising green investment, we can ensure that Zambia’s tourism growth not only drives economic progress but also protects our environment for future generations.”
