Afreximbank TV Marks Fifth Edition with Coverage of IATF2025 in Algiers

Afreximbank TV, the digital television channel of the African Export-Import Bank (Afreximbank), has marked its fifth edition with comprehensive coverage of the Intra-African Trade Fair 2025 (IATF2025), held in Algiers, Algeria.

Launched in November 2023, Afreximbank TV has become a key platform for showcasing Africa’s trade and development story. The channel has accumulated over 14.1 million views and more than 324,200 watch hours, with around 500,000 subscribers and an average monthly viewership of 272,800 across a global audience. Its top five markets are Kenya, Algeria, Nigeria, Ghana and Tanzania.

The channel’s debut featured coverage of IATF2023 in Cairo, Egypt. Since then, it has offered a wide range of content including interviews with thought leaders, testimonials, flagship event coverage, and conversations, all broadcast free of charge in English and French.

Several programmes have exceeded one million views, among them CANEX Music Factory: Championing African Talent, GDIZ: Weaving Bright Futures in Benin’s Textile Industry, Eva’s Coffee: ShowcaseHER Success, PAPSS: Connecting the Continent, and Oando: Empowering Female Leaders. The most-watched podcast is Afreximbank Annual Meetings 2025, which drew 1.2 million views and 30,700 hours of watch time.

At IATF2025, Afreximbank TV provided live session coverage and exclusive interviews with high-profile figures, including H.E. Chief Olusegun Obasanjo, Chair of the IATF Advisory Council and former President of Nigeria, and H.E. Wamkele Mene, Secretary General of the AfCFTA Secretariat.

The IATF2025 attracted more than 112,000 participants from 132 countries, featured 2,148 exhibitors, and concluded with $48.3 billion in trade and investment deals signed over the week-long event.
