EAZ and Associated Media Limited Sign MoU to Strengthen Economic Communication
The Economics Association of Zambia (EAZ) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Associated Media Limited, marking a key milestone in advancing public engagement on economic issues in Zambia.
The MoU was officially signed at the EAZ offices in Lusaka and is aimed at enhancing economic communication through collaborative media programming. The agreement paves the way for the launch of a dedicated weekly economic programme, set to air every Tuesday, where economic experts will discuss national and global financial matters in simplified, accessible language.
Speaking during the signing ceremony, EAZ President Dr. Oswald Mungule expressed optimism about the collaboration, noting its potential to elevate the economic literacy of the Zambian public.
“This partnership is not only mutually beneficial but also instrumental in promoting inclusive public dialogue around Zambia’s economic development,” said Dr. Mungule.
He also praised Ambassador Frank Mutubila for his pivotal role in initiating and facilitating the partnership.
In his remarks, Ambassador Mutubila thanked the Association for its dedication to addressing economic challenges, describing economic awareness as a cornerstone of national and international progress.
The newly signed MoU sets the foundation for a dynamic media platform that will feature weekly expert interviews, commentary on financial trends, and insights into Zambia’s evolving economic landscape.
According to EAZ, the platform will work to demystify complex economic concepts, ensuring that ordinary citizens can understand and actively participate in discussions that impact their lives.
