Airtel Africa Partners with Top African Artists to Promote Smarter Data Usage
Airtel Africa, a leading telecommunications and mobile money services provider operating across 14 African countries, has announced a strategic partnership with three internationally acclaimed African artists to promote better data usage habits among its customers.
The partnership features Fally Ipupa from the Democratic Republic of Congo, Diamond Platnumz from Tanzania, and Simi from Nigeria, who will collaborate with Airtel Africa to educate customers on maximizing their digital experience.
As part of the collaboration, the artists have created a special song to offer practical tips on how customers can make the most of their data bundles for daily activities such as browsing, streaming, and using essential apps.
This initiative forms a key component of Airtel Africa’s ongoing #SmartaWithData campaign, aimed at encouraging customers to GET smarter data settings, SET smarter data speeds, and GO #SmartaWithData to enjoy an optimized digital lifestyle.
Currently active in seven African countries, including Kenya, Nigeria, Uganda, Tanzania, the DRC, Zambia, and Malawi, the campaign specifically targets young customers aged 18-35 years. Through engaging and relatable content, Airtel Africa seeks to empower users with the knowledge and tools necessary to manage their data consumption efficiently.
Speaking on the initiative, Rohit Marwha, Chief Marketing and Sales Officer at Airtel Africa, emphasized the importance of creating valuable customer experiences:

The #SmartaWithData campaign also encourages customers to share their own tips and experiences through social media, fostering a community of informed and engaged users.
Customers can access Airtel data bundles conveniently through USSD codes, the Airtel Lite platform, or the MyAirtel App.
