Zambia Ready to Learn from Bangladesh in SME and Cooperative Development
The Permanent Secretary of Zambia’s Ministry of Small and Medium Enterprise Development (MSMED), Mrs. Subeta Mutelo, has announced Zambia’s readiness to learn from Bangladesh in developing its small businesses and cooperatives.
She shared this during a meeting with the Honorary Consul of Zambia in Bangladesh, Dr. Mohd Zayed Alam.
Mrs. Mutelo highlighted the potential of Zambian SMEs and cooperatives, particularly in the leather, mining, and agriculture sectors.
She emphasized the need for technical support to boost skills and technology, which would create jobs and increase the contribution of SMEs to Zambia’s economy.
Dr. Alam expressed Bangladesh’s commitment to helping Zambia grow its SMEs and cooperatives.
He encouraged building stronger trade connections between the two countries and pledged to work closely with Zambia to ensure success in key sectors like agriculture, mining, and leather.
