President Hichilema Launches Lusaka-Ndola Dual Carriageway Project
President Hakainde Hichilema officiated at the groundbreaking ceremony for the Lusaka-Ndola dual carriageway, marking a historic and significant moment for Zambia.
This project, one of the major initiatives under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) model, aims to save government funds while enhancing the nation’s infrastructure.
President Hichilema emphasized the importance of this project in improving Zambia’s road network.
The Lusaka-Ndola dual carriageway is expected to make travel safer, reduce travel times, and boost connectivity between key economic areas.
“We are committed to enhancing transportation efficiency and fostering economic growth,” the President said.
He called on the developers to ensure the road is completed on time and thanked them for involving Zambian youth in the construction.
He also urged them to engage more local subcontractors.
The President appealed to all citizens to cooperate with the developers during and after the construction period. “Let’s develop Zambia together. Great things are coming,” he said.
