Youth Foundation Calls on Govt to Boost Funding for National Youth Policy
The World Youth and Leadership Foundation is urging the government to significantly increase its budget allocation for youth development in support of the recently launched National Youth Policy.
The Foundation views the National Youth Policy as a transformative initiative with the potential to empower young people and contribute to the nation’s overall growth.
Nalishebo Nyambe, Director General of the World Youth and Leadership Foundation, emphasized the importance of youth, stating they are the “most influential and highest segment of the national population.”
Nyambe believes the government must prioritize youth development through increased funding in the national budget.
“This investment will have a profound impact on the future of young people and the nation,” said Nyambe. Increased funding would allow young people to “reach their full potential and contribute meaningfully” to the country’s development.
Nyambe further said that the World Youth and Leadership Foundation is committed to collaborating with the government, civil society organizations, and other stakeholders to ensure the successful implementation of the National Youth Policy.
