Zambia to Host Livingstone International Cultural Arts Festival 2026

The Ministry of Tourism has announced that Zambia will host the Livingstone International Cultural Arts Festival (LICAF) from 10 to 11 April 2026 in Livingstone.

The two-day festival is expected to celebrate the country’s rich cultural heritage, artistic excellence and growing creative industries, while promoting cultural exchange and regional integration.

LICAF 2026 will bring together artists, performers and cultural practitioners from across Zambia and beyond, offering immersive experiences such as traditional performances, music, dance, exhibitions and culinary showcases.

Speaking ahead of the event, Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism, Evans Muhanga, said the festival plays a key role in positioning Zambia as a leading cultural tourism destination.

“The Livingstone International Cultural Arts Festival is a vital platform for celebrating our diverse cultural identity and showcasing Zambia’s creative talent to the world,” he said. “As Government, we remain committed to supporting initiatives that promote cultural tourism and empower our creative sector.”

Mr Muhanga added that the festival aligns with the national vision under Brand Zambia by promoting the country’s unique identity and strengthening its global image.

“Through this festival, we are telling our story to the world proudly and creatively,” he said.

The Ministry has invited members of the public, local and international tourists, as well as stakeholders, to attend the festival and experience Zambia’s cultural richness.

Visitors will also have an opportunity to explore key attractions in Livingstone, including the iconic Victoria Falls, locally known as Mosi-oa-Tunya, alongside a variety of adventure and cultural activities.

The festival is expected to further boost tourism and highlight Zambia as a destination for authentic cultural experiences.
