Emirates Expands Premium Economy Network with Rollout to New Cities

Emirates has announced a major expansion of its Premium Economy offering, unveiling plans to introduce the cabin class to 10 new cities and increase flight frequencies to key destinations ahead of the peak summer travel season.

The expansion will see the airline deploy its newly delivered Airbus A350 aircraft and retrofitted Boeing 777s across Europe, North America, Asia, Africa, Australia and the Middle East, bringing its latest onboard products to a wider customer base.

As part of the rollout, Emirates will introduce additional daily flights to Copenhagen, Phuket and Cape Town, all operated by next-generation A350 aircraft featuring Premium Economy, alongside upgraded Business and Economy Class cabins.

From 1 June, Emirates will add a second daily service between Dubai and Copenhagen, while third daily services to Phuket and Cape Town will commence from 1 July. The additional frequencies are aimed at meeting rising demand during the summer travel period while enhancing connectivity across the airline’s global network.

Passengers travelling on the expanded routes can expect Emirates’ award-winning Premium Economy experience, which includes extra legroom, enhanced dining, improved seat comfort and upgraded amenities. By 1 July, Premium Economy will be available on more than 84 Emirates routes worldwide.

The new Copenhagen service, operating as EK153/154, is optimally timed to provide seamless onward connections via Dubai to destinations in East Asia, the Indian Ocean and Africa, as well as convenient inbound links from Australasia and South Asia.

In Phuket, the third daily service will support increased leisure travel, offering early morning arrivals for passengers connecting from major European cities and the Middle East, while also improving outbound connectivity from Thailand.

Cape Town’s additional frequency responds to consistently strong demand on the route, particularly during peak seasons. Emirates noted sustained inbound traffic from the Gulf region and robust outbound travel to Europe and the United States.

Beyond these routes, Emirates will also deploy its A350 aircraft on services to Rome from 29 March and Taipei from 1 May.

The airline’s Premium Economy expansion will also cover cities including Barcelona, Mexico City, Cochin, Karachi, Brisbane, Addis Ababa, Kuwait City and Tehran, with aircraft deployments scheduled progressively throughout 2026.

Emirates said the expansion underscores its commitment to offering a consistent, premium travel experience across its network while responding to evolving customer expectations.

Tickets for the expanded services are available via emirates.com, the Emirates App, travel agents and Emirates retail outlets.
